Gordon did it!
An amazing performance, covering 250kms (6 marathons) in 54 hours and 55 minutes! The tough Jordan course was varied over the week covering hills, flats, soft sand and rocks in racing hot conditions.
Extremely well done Gordon! We are so proud of you!
Thank you all so much for supporting CWS through Gordon's challange. Together you raised over HK$ 600,000! Another extremely amazing effort! We are overwhelmed by your kindness. Thank You!

Dear Friends and Associates ,
That time has come once again when I’m heading off to the desert for adventure, for fun, to explore, to check a growing waistline but more importantly to try and raise a few dollars for children who are not as lucky as us.
As you know, for many years now I have taken part in adventure races to different parts of the world in order to raise money for the valuable work Child Welfare Scheme (CWS) does for less privileged children in Nepal.
Once again I have foolishly committed to another grueling 250km race in a very hot place in a faraway land- this time Jordan! Signing up for one of these is very easy to do but a little more difficult to actually do it! I am never ready for these so I need all of the support that you can muster. If you can, please sponsor me to either start, per km, or to finish or just as importantly, send me an encouraging note which this year I will appreciate more than ever.
The race starts on 13th May 2012 and consists of 6 days of running. Its roughly a marathon a day for 4 days, then a double marathon on day 5 and a 10 km on the last day. I have to carry all my own gear the whole way and sleep in a tent with 9 other fools! For this ordeal, I hope to raise HK$ 350,000. Please help me reach this target!
It’s been a difficult few years for lots of people around the world which makes CWS and the kids even more grateful to you all for dedicating your funds to support our work in Nepal. Despite the financial crisis we have managed to maintain and strengthen our projects and to continue our much needed help to the children in Nepal. Without your support many kids would be without nourishment, medical treatment, schooling and most of all the love and attention that our people on-site in Nepal give.
Thank you very much.
