SAVE

CWS’ Clean Air Campaign – SAVE – for a cleaner and healthier Hong Kong

We are a charity dedicated to supporting children through education, health care and social opportunities. We started our life-saving work in 1995 and all programmes to date have been in Nepal, a beautiful country where life is extremely difficult.

The community in Hong Kong has been and continues to be extremely supportive of our work.  For the past few years, we here at CWS have wanted to give something back to Hong Kong for its generous support of Nepal.  Due to a growing concern about the state of Hong Kong's air and the threat this has on children’s health, CWS will be initiating its first programme outside of Nepal, which is an education campaign about how air pollution affects the health of children – called SAVE.

The elements of this campaign are:

  • Survey – what do children in Hong Kong know and how do they feel about air pollution
  • Academic/Action – getting children to find out about, measuring air pollution and taking steps to protect themselves from the effects
  • Voice – providing a platform for children to express their research, thoughts and feelings on air pollution
  •  Education – for the children to teach the public about air pollution and its effects on them

Our ultimate goal is cleaner air and healthier children for Hong Kong!
