“How I cope without Mum”
After last year’s successful presentation “What happened to Mum”, we are pleased to bring you a follow up presentation concerning the issues encountered by the children after their mums pass away. Faced with the hardships of life, many children end up in vulnerable situations (i.e. on the streets, trafficked, abusing drugs, etc.). Did you know that 53% of children aged 10 to 14 years must work to survive in Nepal? Or that more than 30% of street children have been sexually abused? This is a serious and sad reality that no child should have to face. Douglas will be discussing issues faced by working children and those who have lost their mums. The presentation will also look at the impact of the lack of parental love on a child’s development. In addition, you will learn about the actions taken by CWS to support these children and the challenges that are common to this type of project.
